The entire ring was hand fabricated from silver bar stock.  The piece appears roughly hewn, covered in concave facets, as if it was made of knapped stone. Dozens of fine lines are engraved into each facet, providing a rugged, yet delicate texture. The rose cut sapphire is set in the top with a very heavy setting, with a construction lying somewhere between a bezel and prongs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\"\u003eThe Collector is said to have gathered the sapphire from a place he dubbed \"The Spire,\" an icy mountain pass known to be almost impossible to travel through in the winter. The sapphires he found there were particularly receptive to cold-focused enchantments.
